Ernst Biomass, LLC (EB) was founded in 2008 to be a manufacturer of solid biomass fuel. We are different from most other solid fuel producers as our focus is on the use of dedicated energy crops, mostly warm season grasses, as a feedstock. What We Do

As the interest surrounding sources of alternative energy increases, EB is planning the construction and operation of a fully enabled biomass densification facility. This is a necessary stepping stone for the future growth of this exciting industry. Our facility will be dedicated primarily to the production of switchgrass/warm season grass solid biomass fuel in the form of pellets and briquettes.

The use of these particular plants as a source of energy allows for a truly closed-loop, sustainable system. We use previously under-utilized farm ground to grow these native grasses, which are then turned into a solid fuel. This solid fuel can be used to heat our homes, schools, public buildings, greenhouses, hospitals, and universities, or to help power our communities, all while doing so in an environmentally friendly manner.
